Product information

LGC, Biosearch Technologies offers hapten conjugated proteins; unlabeled proteins (OVAL; BSA ; CGG and KLH) and fluorescent protein conjugates for immunochemistry. We also offer the haptens that can be used as labeling reagents for custom conjugates. BSA is a polypeptide chain consisting of about 583 amino acid residues. At pH5-7 it contains 17 intrachain disulfide bridges and 1 sulfhydryl group. This BSA is essentially globulin free, essentially protease free>/= 98%.

Properties:

  • Molecular Weight: 66430
  • Appearance: white to light brown powder
  • CAS Number: 9048-46-8

Product usage:

BSA can be dissolved in water or PBS.All assay dilutions are user optimized.Albumins are readily soluble in water and can only be precipitated by high concentrations of neutral salts. When heated to 50 °C or above albumin forms hydrophobic aggregates which do not revert to monomers upon cooling.Extended storage conditions:For extended storage aliquot and freeze at -20 °C or below.

Storage and handling:

  • Shipping conditions: Ambient
  • Storage conditions: +2 to +8 °C
