Product information
Our line of conjugates include well studied small molecule haptens eg, DNP, TNP, NP, NIP, and PC (Phosphoryl Choline). Various levels of conjugation density are available depending on the antibody response required by the researcher. Such reagents are complete antigens useful for inducing antibody response in animal models. Conjugation ratio is the molar ratio of hapten to protein. The conjugation ratio (or "loading") for any given immunochemical will vary with each production batch, and we do not offer customised ratios. Where standard ratio ranges are not offered, customer service can inform you about available ratios at the point of purchase.
Properties:
- Chemical Name: 2,4-Dinitrophenyl-Ovalbumin
- Appearance: yellow powder
- Absorption Maximum (Lambda Max): 360
- Extinction Coefficient at Lambda max: 17400
Product usage:
- Conjugation for DNP is determined by measuring the absorbance at 360 nm and using the extinction coefficient of DNP =1.74 x 10E+04. The conjugation ratio is given as the molar ratio of DNP to Ovalbumin assuming the molecular weight of Ovalbumin is 45,000.Store solution in aliquots at -20°C. Protect from light. This product can be dissolved in water or phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2 at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. Product may precipitate when stored in solution, therefore it is recommended to centrifuge the solutions briefly before use and use only the supernatant. When using PBS please refer to the formulation below.PBS Formulation:8 g NaCl0.2 g KCl0.2 g potassium di-hydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4)1.15 g di-sodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HPO4)Add to 1 L of water
Storage and handling:
- Shipping conditions: Ambient
- Storage conditions: +2 to +8 °C
