sbeadex Mini Plant DNA Purification Kit

The sbeadex Mini Plant Kit contains all of the components required to perform small-scale DNA purification from plant tissue. The kit includes 2 wash buffers, a lysis buffer, an elution buffer, a binding buffer, and sbeadex particle suspension.

The Mini Plant Trial Kit contains all of the components required to perform small-scale DNA purification from plant tissue. The kit includes 3 lysis buffers, 2 elution buffers, 2 wash buffers, a binding buffer, protease solution, and sbeadex particle suspension. 

This trial kit contains additional lysis buffers and elution buffers, as well as a protease solution to find optimal lysis and elution conditions. These additional components are not included in our standard sbeadex mini plant kits.

The sbeadex™ Mini Plant Kit is a comprehensive solution designed for extracting DNA from a wide range of plant species. This kit is optimised to efficiently extract and purify DNA from both fresh and lyophilized plant tissue material, including leaves, seeds, fruits, pulp, bark and roots. 

The Mini Plant Kit is best for small-scale routine purification with a recommended starting material of 5-10 mg for lyophilized tissue or 10-30 mg for fresh tissue. If you’re working with larger scale extractions you can use our sbeadex Maxi Plant Kit.

The sbeadex Mini Plant Trial Kit

The sbeadex™ Plant Trial Kit (NAP41606) is designed to help you evaluate the performance of sbeadex DNA purification chemistry and develop optimised protocols for plant or seed material DNA purification. The Mini Plant Trial Kit (NAP41606) is intended for trial purposes, allowing users to evaluate performance and optimise workflow for small-scale DNA purification from plant material. The user should select the most appropriate lysis buffer, wash buffer, and elution buffer for their plant tissue type prior to establishing the final protocol.

We have a range of standard sbeadex purification protocols for both manual and automated purification. Our protocols can be followed directly or customised as needed with the help of the Mini Plant Trial Kit.

With the inclusion of additional components not found in our standard Mini Plant DNA Purification Kits, you can fine-tune and optimise the sbeadex purification protocol for your plant tissue. Once you have successfully developed the manual purification protocol, it can be transferred to automated systems, enabling efficient and consistent high-throughput purification.

The DNA purification protocol, especially post optimization with our trial kit, is easy to automate, allowing for seamless scaling up of sample processing using popular robotic platforms. Automation can increase throughput for routine purification in medium to high-throughput laboratories.

The sbeadex Technology 

This kit leverages the power of sbeadex magnetic bead technology. These superparamagnetic particles, coated with sbeadex surface chemistry, employ a novel two-bind / two wash mechanism that ensures effective removal of impurities from the sample matrix. The second wash buffer in the kit is ethanol-free, eliminating any traces of ethanol that could potentially inhibit downstream reactions. Additionally, the sbeadex technology eliminates the need for a drying step before elution, further enhancing DNA quality.
