Product information

LGC Biosearch Technologies offers hapten conjugated proteins; unlabeled proteins (OVAL; BSA ; CGG and KLH) and fluorescent protein conjugates for immunochemistry. We also offer the haptens that can be used as labeling reagents for custom conjugates. Fluorescein is conjugated to NP-AminoEthylCarboxyMethyl-FICOLL, a high molecular weight polysaccharide. Hapten-FICOLL conjugates are useful as T-independent antigens for studying B lymphocyte activation.

Properties:

  • Chemical Name: 4-Hydroxy-3-nitrophenylacetic -AminoEthylCarboxyMethyl-FICOLL-Fluorescein
  • Appearance: orange powder
  • Absorption Maximum (Lambda Max): 430
  • Extinction Coefficient at Lambda max: 4230

Product usage:

This product can be dissolved in PBS buffer, water or other neutral buffers at a concentration of 1mg/mL. Product may precipitate when stored in solution, therefore it is recommended to centrifuge the solutions briefly before use and use only the supernatant.Store solution in aliquots at -20°C. Protect from light.Conjugation is determined at pH 8.5 by measuring NP absorbance at 430 nm, using 4.23 x 10E+03 as the extinction coefficient for NP, and is given as a molar ratio of NP to Ficoll assuming the molecular weight of Ficoll is 400,000.Conjugation for Fluorescein, is determined by measuring Fluorescein absorbance at 495 nm, using 8.3 x 10E+04 as the extinction coefficient for Fluorescein, and is given as a molar ratio of Fluorescein to Ficoll assuming the molecular weight of Ficoll is 400,000.

Storage and handling:

  • Shipping conditions: Ambient
  • Storage conditions: Room Temperature
