Product information

Our line of conjugates include well studied small molecule haptens eg, DNP, TNP, NP, NIP, and PC (Phosphoryl Choline). Various levels of conjugation density are available depending on the antibody response required by the researcher. Such reagents are complete antigens useful for inducing antibody response in animal models. Conjugation ratio is the molar ratio of hapten to protein. The conjugation ratio (or "loading") for any given immunochemical will vary with each production batch, and we do not offer customised ratios. Where standard ratio ranges are not offered, customer service can inform you about available ratios at the point of purchase.

Properties:

  • Chemical Name: 2,4,6-Trinitrophenyl-Bovine Serum Albumin-Biotin
  • Appearance: yellow to orange powder
  • Absorption Maximum (Lambda Max): 348
  • Extinction Coefficient at Lambda max: 15400

Product usage:

Conjugation is determined at pH 7.0 by measuring TNP absorbance at 348 nm using 1.54 x 10E+04 as the extinction coefficient of TNP and is given as a molar ratio of TNP to BSA assuming the molecular weight of BSA is 66,430. The spectral properties listed for this product are the properties of the hapten and not of the hapten-carrier conjugate. The biotin moiety is not quantified.Store solution in aliquots at -20°C. Protect from light. This product can be dissolved in water or phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2 at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. When using PBS please refer to the formulation below.PBS Formulation:8 g NaCl0.2 g KCl0.2 g potassium di-hydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4)1.15 g di-sodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HPO4)Add to 1 L of water
